Welcome to Brown Surgical Associates, Rhode Island’s largest multidisciplinary surgical group and a foundation member of Brown Physicians, Inc. With more than 50 surgeons, we provide state-of-the-art surgical care to Southern New England’s communities and have influenced the care of national and international referrals. Our surgeons are nationally recognized for their experience in highly specialized areas of surgery through all stages of life – from meeting the needs of fetal patients with congenital anomalies to the special needs of geriatric patients.
All our surgeons are on the teaching staff of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and are board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Surgery. Our surgeons participate in innovative research, perform the most modern surgical techniques, and provide access to the latest clinical trials.
Brown Surgical Associates offers a broad range of highly specialized consultative, diagnostic, and therapeutic services to outpatients and inpatients for all surgical disorders, from pediatric surgery through adult specialized services.
Brown Surgical Associates encompasses 16 surgical specialties: Adolescent and Adult Bariatrics, Breast, Burn Care, Colorectal, Endocrine, Fetal, General, Hepatobiliary, Pediatric, Surgical Nutrition, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic, Transplant, Trauma, and Vascular Surgery. We are also proud to offer our Vascular & Vein Care Center, which is fully accredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).
We have 13 office locations conveniently located throughout Rhode Island and our surgeons operate at many of the hospitals across Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts.
