Brown Surgical Associates is comprised of 13 clinical office locations across Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts, most recently opening an office in East Greenwich to expand and meet the geographic demands of our patients in the West Bay and South County area. All Brown Surgical Associates surgeons are on the teaching staff of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. All surgeons are Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Surgery. As of 2025, BSA has grown to over 50 surgeons and greater than 30 nurse practitioners and physician assistants on staff.
We have board-certified surgeons in Adult and Adolescent Bariatric, Breast, Colorectal, Endocrine, Fetal, General, Thoracic, Transplant, Surgical Nutrition, Surgical Oncology, Vascular, and Pediatrics who provide cutting-edge care. Our Trauma, Surgical Critical Care and Burn Care Surgeons are always at the ready at Rhode Island’s only American College of Surgeons verified Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and the state’s only American Burn Association verified Burn Center for both adult and pediatric patients. In 2017, BSA joined with 5 other Medical Foundations to comprise Brown Physicians Inc.
