Dr. Jordan Hebert, DO, FACS, FASMBS, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained minimally invasive surgeon with specialized expertise in metabolic weight loss surgery, anti-reflux surgery, and abdominal wall reconstruction for the treatment of complex hernias. Dr. Hebert brings extensive experience in the utilization of surgical robotics to maximize the precision of the procedures that he performs.
A true Rhode Island native, Dr. Jordan Hebert is a 5th-generation resident of Newport County and now practices in his hometown community at Newport Hospital. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York, before earning his doctorate at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine. He next completed general surgery residency training at Hackensack Meridian Health in North Bergen, New Jersey, followed by advanced minimally invasive surgical fellowship training at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland, where he earned specialized training certifications from both The Fellowship Council and The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
After rigorous surgical training, Dr. Hebert returned home to the Ocean State to bring the most up-to-date advanced surgical techniques to Rhode Islanders. Dr. Hebert was the first surgeon in Rhode Island to perform magnetic sphincter augmentation for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Devoted to improving the quality of life for his patients, Dr. Hebert is a strong proponent of patient education. He strives to empower his patients with the information necessary to make informed decisions when considering surgical and non-surgical treatment options.
Dr. Hebert is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and a board member of the Rhode Island Society of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
